AFRICAN INSIGHT SAFARI TRAVEL SHOP is offering a bus service to those who would like to ride on the Steam Train and enjoy the Creighton Aloe Festival, but either do not have transport of their own, or would prefer not to drive. The journey from Howick to Creighton is approximately 2 hours. The bus will collect passengers from Howick, take them to the Creighton Train Station, help them collect their train tickets, and put them on the train.
The train journey is about 2 – 2 ½ hours, through lovely scenery to Riverside Station, where passengers may walk among the aloes and are entertained by singing groups whilst the train turns around. On arrival back at Creighton passengers can have lunch at the Creighton Country Club and enjoy the bustling craft market. When everyone is ready, the Safari Travel Shop will take you back to Howick.
Alternatively the Safari Travel Shop will book train tickets for you if you wish to drive yourselves. Available dates are 27 & 28 June, 04 & 05 July, 11 & 12 July, 18 & 19 July.
This is a truly lovely excursion to be enjoyed by the whole family. It is a scenic drive to Creighton with the train ride being a great experience – and it also a lovely way of meeting people, having fun and taking pleasure in being out and about.
