DESCRIPTION:Workshop Wednesday 7 and 21 August 9am to 12 noon (09h30 – 12h30)\nParticip
 ants in these workshops will be introduced to working on their own” rejecte
 d” drawings or paintings, while being inspired by a work of art of their ow
 n choice displayed in the gallery. Demos and discussions will lead you to y
 our own discoveries.\nArtist residency – a voluntary collaboration\nThere w
 ill be an artist in residency programme between the above two workshop date
 s.. It will be a collaborative work on which a different workshop participa
 nt will work on the shared piece each day. The outcome will be unplanned bu
 t progress will be recorded and reviewed and discussed during the last work
 shop. \nMaterials for workshops what each participant has to being: \n• An 
 older work done by participant (it could be unfinished or a rejected work) 
 on paper or canvas.\n• If you are working on paper bring a board such as ma
 sonite or wood not smaller than your paper as well as some masking tape or 
 similar to stick paper on to the board\n• Sketch paper (even a sketchbook),
  pencils or charcoal and an eraser for developing ideas.\n• Materials of yo
 ur preference to work on top of the older work you are bringing. It could b
 e water based medium, crayons; pastels or even oil paints and oil paints me
 dium (please do not use excessive turpentine in the gallery). Brushes if ne
 eded.\n• Any of the following if you need it with the medium you are using:
  containers for water or oil mediums, old rag, kitchen paper, protection fo
 r gallery floor or tables such as black plastic bags or newspaper, protecti
 on for your own clothes.\nCost:\nThe total cost of the two workshops is R30
