The Michaelhouse School Gardens really are worth a visit. They combine the beauty of formal English country planting (which is especially noticeable at the front of school) with a more modern approach as seen around our new Heritage building. The Michaelhouse gardens are rooms to view, with each quad having a different aspect and character: wander through the Main Quad with its formal topiaries; the Pennington Quad planted with an indigenous flavour; the Science garden that serves as an entrance to the new Science Centre, which has its own luscious tree fern courtyards; and the smaller Media and Curry quads. Feast your eyes on the glorious views at this historical old school nestled in the spectacular Balgowan valley.
